Production Blog - Moving
Hello welcome to my third production blog!! Since the last production blog, I've had extremely messy schedule issues. Since this commercial takes a lot of time, at a time, I end up needing consecutive free hours. This became an even bigger problem as I am beginning to move to a new home and have the majority of my dad taken up by fixing it up, as I and my family are under a time constraint. This has been time-consuming and I haven't had a chance to actually re-start editing the audio portion of my commercial. Until recently I finally got the chance to start. It took me faster than expected because I had already learned all the required skills and knowledge I needed. Of course other than a few things along the way, I had gotten back to where I had left off. Now the only obstacle I had left was to actually finish the audio as complete. I then got completely stopped in my tracks. I couldn't work on the commercial for almost half a week straight. This sudden halt left me unable to think of what I could do in the actual commercial. Along with other work for other classes piling on from the personal stuff in my life, I was struggling to even write Blogs.
All of a sudden the weight of school came crashing down. I was beginning to miss assignments and not being able to study. Prioritization was needed and that's what I began to do. I took lunches off to get work from every class done, including this one. Eventually, I was able to work on the commercial again. On the other hand, I had forgotten any ideas I had saved mentally. I came up with the unoriginal idea of recording my thoughts in case of anything similar to this happening again. Not only did saving my thoughts make the process a lot easier, I was able to see and explain to myself why I didn't like some of the parts in my commercial. I had written down all my to-dos in fixing my commercial so when I had time again I would go ahead and fix up as much as possible without wasting time thinking about what was off!
