Production Blog - Together or Alone?

Hello, welcome to the first production blog of my Music Video. Starting off, I've already experienced serious difficulty in the first steps of doing this video due to groups. Now what I mean by this was that I have gone through several joinings of groups and then leaving them. For example, when I first started to write about this video I decided to work in a group with a colleague named Issac and his group. They weren't helping nor would set up any type of discussion, so I decided to leave as it would be easier to work by myself.

Now this brought me problems such as having to choose my own song with little to no time and then researching songs in their genre and figuring out a plan. This led to incredible stress and a botched quality in my work. During this process of me having just left my group, another group with Angelica and Andrea offered me a position in their group. Truth be told they also had experienced an almost exact situation as mine, so they had to redo a lot of their work to do another song. At first, I was hesitant, as I was worried that they'd be like my last group.  However, after heavy discussion, they sent me their writing and I began to help them with writing out a plan of their own.

The first part of this project we did together was the storyboard. I had wanted to do it on paper with each slide equaling 5 seconds to get a total grasp of what we were doing. On the other hand, they had wanted to do it online and only worry about writing the most important parts of the video. I didn't want to bother arguing my point of making sure we have an exact plan so we don't stress too much about what to film. This was because I had already argued against the song they wanted to do as I had previously chosen a Christmas song that would be easy to record without a whole group of people by my side.

Since they had wanted to a Spanish song called Manana Sera Bonito by Karol G I had to personally research the genre before even beginning to think of the thorough parts of our plan. I used their blog of genre research and did my own by listening to Latin Urbano. Although the song contains other genres i felt that, that one genre summarized it. I feel that I have a total understanding of the genre and I'm ready to begin brainstorming with my team. Thank you for reading my first production blog!
