Research and Planning Blog - How on earth did I do it?

     Hello, welcome to my lastest blog!! This blog will be about how and why I chose the photos and songs that I did for my commercial. Speaking of which songs and photos I used for my commercial, I used the songs Off Broadway by Werner Tautz & Pink Deville by Paul Rothman. I also used photos such as me from when I was 8 (below),

 and a more recent one from now (below).

    Now my reasoning for both is fairly obvious. For the music, it's mainly because of the lack of lyrics and how "commercially" they sound. They also come from the same general "origin," aka the show, It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia. Not only do these songs go well together, they transition very easily and don't feel like they were forced together. I also like the show very much and the music in it has always been something I wish I could use in my own twist, as they sound incredibly different than what the show displays. 

    Moving on to the reasoning of why I chose those two specific photos. I used those specific photos because they will be used to describe the growth I've had and be setups for monologue. On a personal note, the younger photo of me is extremely nostalgic and is from one of my many trips to Cuba. Currently, I rarely go so to me its just an emotional image that I'd like to include. The songs also have an emotional aspect, or at least are close to me as they're very recognizable and I've loved the show for an extremely long time. 

    Now the reason I haven't chosen other songs is because I didn't want to risk using a song that seemed inconsistent with the sound I had chosen. I could have also used more from the OST of IASIP, but I had listened to every song and those two seemed to stand out the most too me. Although it isn't too late to add more music if I find any that I'm sure will 100% fit. 

    Same goes with the photos. Now obviously the photos's wont be the only media that are in the actual commercial. The commercial will mainly consist of videos with picture-in-picture editing. Overall the media I use in the commercial can and might possibly change if I find more I can add to enhance the overall vibe of the ad. Thank you for reading this blog and have a wonderful day!
